Having Anna come spend a day in my forge was a genuine honour.

Knives may be relatively new territory for her, but working alongside someone with that level of control, precision, and understanding of the hammer was something else entirely.

There’s a huge difference between knowing how to hit hot steel and truly knowing how to move it, and getting to work beside someone who has that kind of command over the material was an absolute privilege.

Thanks for making the trip, Anna. It was an honour sharing the forge with you. 🔥⚒️

What better way to celebrate a friend tying the knot than getting your favourite people together to forge some real knives? 🔥🔨

These guys were an absolute blast to have in the shop. Thanks for trusting us with part of the celebration, and congrats to the groom! 🍻

A first-time student’s petty knife.

They forged it by hand, chose a beautiful walnut handle, learned edge geometry and bevel grinding, and experienced the entire heat-treating process, all in a single day.

This is what students make in the Field Knife Workshop.

If you’d rather forge a full-size chef’s knife, we’ve got that too. 😉

Most people buy their chef knife. You’ll forge yours.

Our newest workshop is officially here.

Spend five hours forging a full-sized chef knife from premium European tool steel. Choose your handle, forge the blade by hand, and create a knife worthy of becoming a family heirloom. 🙌

No experience required. Every student starts somewhere.
