Haworthia Cooperi Variegata | Asphodelaceae

Tiny glass bubbles masquerading as a succulent? Yes, please! 🫧💎

Native to South Africa’s Eastern Cape, these little jewels have translucent leaf windows. Nature’s very own tiny skylights!

I learned about these beauties online and was instantly smitten. Naturally, as soon as I spotted one in the wild (local garden nursery) I brought home two! 😂

One joined my succulent garden, while the other settled beside my terrarium and surprised me with a flower stalk! 🌸

🌱 Current Growing Conditions:
☀️ East-facing window + indirect Barrina T5 lighting (12 hrs/day)
💦 55% ambient humidity
🌡️ 21°C, with cooler nights around 18–19°C
🪴 Original nursery substrate
💧 Bottom watering as needed, once the substrate dries sufficiently

Still getting acquainted, but she’s seemingly quite content without tropical heat or humidity!

And now I’ve discovered colourful varieties like Ice Lantern. Apparently, two just aren’t enough! 💎😂

A thrifted glass vase, some leftover LECA, and a handful of rooted cuttings. Suddenly, a collection of little jars becomes one lush, living arrangement.

Philodendron sp. ‘Emerald Ice’ | Araceae

A little emerald, a splash of ivory… and wait, is that PINK? 🌸👀

This Facebook Marketplace beauty arrived with five leaves and a rumour of pink variegation!

After a fresh repot, I found it a spot among its leafy neighbours and, well… sort of forgot about it. 😂

A few weeks later? Settling in beautifully, with that shy pink blush becoming a little more noticeable!

Botanically: To be consumed by an irrational desire to acquire every tropical plant known to humankind.

Symptoms include: Excessive leaf admiration, spontaneous nursery visits, and a complete inability to distinguish between want and need.

Prognosis: Terminally plant obsessed. 🌿
