I naively waltzed into a Canadian Tire several weeks ago; thought I snagged an incredible $20 deal. Adrenaline pumping-my very first monsterra deliciosa (despite her delicate condition). First repot, simple but an immediate success. An innocent second repot turned into an epic plant emergency, I immediately turned my deck into an OR. Nurse: scalpel, scissors… get the bucket-I’m drowning in dirt and perlite-hurry!!! Every granule of soil carefully extracted, every root painstakingly separated & inspected. But we forged through. The sextuplets separation was a success. Yes-you heard right…SIX PLANTS. But, let’s not pop the champagne just yet folks, casualties may be had. Stay tuned as we continue to hold our breaths over the next several weeks. Pray for the 6ix.
