Been intrigued with the Musselburgh hat, but daunted on how to make a start?

The Musselburgh hat is an awesome pattern that produces a double layered hat, which can be knitted as a beanie or slouchy style and you can use any weight of yarn.

Christine is teaching a class this Saturday, June 6, from 10 AM to 12 noon at the store on how to get started - picking out the arms, finding the right size, and making ‘headway’ for you to enjoy knitting your first Musselburgh hat!

Many of you know that Susan, along with a few others from our crafting community, are away sailing the British Isles on a Holland America Knitting Cruise for the next two weeks.

Their first stop was actually outside the British Isles … and look who they met 😳

A tour to Amsterdam took them to Stephen and Penelope’s store where they met Stephen West in person 🤩

What an outstanding experience to start this amazing cruise - we’re not jealous at all, are we🙄 😆

Linda selected Li'l Red KettleHead yarn to make her version and it is the perfect layering piece.

The lace detail on the front is showcased in a delicate back panel and elevates the look of what will sure to become a wardrobe staple for Linda.

Ellen is keeping track of our beloved Blue Jays games in this year of their 50th Anniversary.

Each game in her scarf is represented with three rows of knitting in the round:

A win at home is dark blue
A win away is light blue
A loss is white
… each game separated with one row of red to represent the Canadian Maple Leaf 🍁

It’s looking great so far Ellen M McRae, but here’s hoping we see more blues as the season progresses 😆🤞🏻

Let’s turn a dull day into a sweet day tomorrow!

We are open 11-3 and there will be Swedish FIKA treats (while supplies last) as well a free ballet to enter a draw for this bag of goodies from Lambert’s latest adventures to Stockholm for anyone who visits us tomorrow.

Finished Project Friday: Tonya’s Cloudbreak Tee

This tee is hot off the needles and just in time for the warmer temperatures that are teasing us right now!

The Wool & Pine design was released in March and Tonya fell in love with it immediately and had it cast on right away!

With the lovely shoulder detailing, the neckline and the lace trim, along with the perfect fit … this is going to be staple for the summer for sure for you 💕

Another fun Sleuth Me A Yarn night at SMAY this evening saw a fun cast trying to solve who dunnit at Downturn Shabby!

The cook left before the group photos … her cranky character had had enough shenanigans for one day and she took her rolling pin and kippers home … little did she know that we had already snagged her photo 😆
