The Gables Social Club The Gables Pop-Up Social Club is a small, evolving gathering space in one of Tottenham’s most storied homes. A café when the doors open, plus pop-up events.

The Gables has always been a place shaped by people. Built in the late nineteenth century by George and Sarah Gordon, the house did not arrive fully formed. It grew slowly, room by room, shaped through relationships, shared labour, and the steady presence of community. Local craftspeople, neighbours, and trades contributed their hands and skills, leaving behind a home that carries the imprint of c

ollective care rather than singular design. From its earliest days, The Gables functioned as a social crossroads in Tottenham. Connected to the Gordon family’s mercantile life, it welcomed a steady flow of visitors: people who came to talk, to linger, to exchange stories, and to feel held by the warmth of the space. With its generous rooms and long views from the tower, the house seemed to encourage gathering, conversation, and return. It was never meant to be closed off or quiet; it was meant to be lived in. Today, The Gables is being engaged in that same spirit. As a private, members only social club, it offers a simple invitation: to step inside, to share, and to connect. In this way we are honouring the spirit of the home and letting its energy move again, shaped by new voices, shared experiences, and a renewed sense of belonging.

We explore things like:

✨ Setting boundaries without guilt
✨ Understanding different communication styles
✨ Why we often assume the worst about other people’s intentions

Expect new perspectives, a few lightbulb moments, and conversations that stay with you long after the evening ends. It's a fun, casual evening, come as you are!

This coming Tuesday, June 2nd, my friend Lucy Conte and I will be opening the 7 Wilson pop-up café for Tarot Tuesday! ☕✨

Come by between 11am–3pm for a free tarot reading with your coffee 😃

Lucy is an incredible cook, writer, and the author of Quanto Basta: The Art of Just Enough, as well as the co-inspirer behind so many of the thoughtful, magical, and fun ideas we’ve been exploring at the Gables.

I’m so excited to have her join us (and I’m excited for the day when she’ll start making some of her goodies for us to experience😋).

Hey friends,
In the spirit of the social club, community, and creative collaboration, we’ve been feeling inspired to open up some spaces at The Gables for rent to fellow creatives, makers, thinkers, and good humans.

There are a few different spaces available, and we're intentionally keeping this somewhat open because we’d genuinely love to hear your ideas and visions as well. We are very open to creative possibilities, collaborative energy, and thoughtful uses of the spaces.

Current possibilities include:
• The Maid’s Quarters: a small, character-filled private space that could work beautifully as a studio, writing room, treatment space, tiny office, or quiet retreat. It's been endearingly called, 'The Cottage'

• The Third Floor: a larger open space with a lot of potential for creative use, collaboration, workshops, movement, art, music, co-working, gatherings.

• Two Office / Bedroom Spaces: these could become two separate creative offices for two individuals, or a combined living + working setup for one tenant.

These would be paid rental arrangements, though we're open to different structures depending on the space, use, and alignment. More than anything, we're hoping to find people whose work, presence, and ideas fit the spirit of The Gables: thoughtful, creative, community-oriented, soulful, and a little unconventional.
If something sparks for you, we’d truly love to hear from you. Feel free to DM me with ideas, questions, or concepts you’ve been dreaming about. And feel free to share!

Hi friends, I’m opening the popup coffee house this Saturday. Common by and share the space!
I’ll have the Gaggia all ready to go, as well as teas and kombucha! 🙂 There are lots of places to sit and have a good catch up with your friends.

Oh, and Jill will be here offering ‘Conversations With Jill.’ It’ll be fun!
