The Ned Rig:

Most commonly used for targeting bass, the Ned Rig is a great set up as it allows your bait to sink fast and pop when jigging. This tipped with the right "trailer" or bait to complement the hook end will provide an excellent presentation and action that most fish won't be able to resist.

While it's most well know for effectively targeting bass, it can be adapted for multi species. Different combinations of live, dead, or artificial soft baits can attract other species. These trout were caught with the Ned Rig tipped with a night crawler.

Fish where the fish are, and feed 'em what they're eatin'

And remember: you can't catch 'em from the couch!

Quality control is paramount in creating a quality product. I was testing out the Ned Rig tipped with live bait in search of Bass and panfish. I was pleasantly surprised when this small walleye ate. Sometimes a bait can work for multiple species, and the bi-catch can be more desirable than the target. This little fella was released promptly, let 'em go let 'em grow.

Crepuscular: animal appearing active during twilight (before sunrise or after sunset)

This one may have been a few minutes shy of proper twilight but let me tell ya, ending the day with this beauty and a sunset that set the sky ablaze is a memory that's burned into my mind.
