Today was a two-Tele kinda day.

This Tele didn't have the "snap" that a Tele should have. A previous owner installed roller string trees, but those didn't put enough downward string tension behind the nut (pic 1).
I swapped them out for traditional, lower Fender-style trees (pic 2). The snap is back!
Moral of the story: a string can be in tune but, at the same time, not have the right amount of tension. This explains why Les Pauls have angled headstocks.

Hmm, wonder why the middle strings were so buzzy on this old Eko? Could it be the flat saddle? (Fingerboard has a 7.25" radius, which is quite rounded.)
I was able to install a replacement track with a new bone saddle (properly radiused, of course).

Which one will still be rocking in 5-10 years' time, and won't need to be "supported" - the one that's almost 70 years old, or the one that's only 5 years old?

This Godin defied the law of gravity...briefly. Unfortunately, the customer's desk knew about the law of Impenetrability - two things cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
The impact bent the string and even dented the fret. Fortunately, I was able to remove any evidence of the impact.
