When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. Proverbs 29:2
There is a leadership crisis in our world. I have just read recently that this crisis is attributed to 5 primary sources:
Unable Leadership: More and more leaders are emerging without the abilities and qualities needed to lead effectively in a changing world. They lack the required levels of resilience, responsiveness, agility, risk-taking, creativity, and innovation. Many leaders have reached their “sell-by date,” leading to burnout and rejection by their organizations.
Unintelligent Leadership: Some leaders either overemphasize one intelligence mode or lack in others. They fall short on the insight and wisdom needed to deal effectively with the complexities of the new world. They get trapped in details instead of seeing the big picture and fail to be forward-thinking dreamers.
Immature Leadership: Immaturity manifests in leaders who lack emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics. Their actions may be impulsive, short-sighted, or driven by personal gain rather than the greater good.
Immoral Leadership: Destructive leaders exhibit unethical behavior, harming people, economies, and societies irreparably. Their actions undermine trust and erode the fabric of communities.
Destructive Leadership: Some leaders actively work against the well-being of their followers, organizations, or nations. Their decisions lead to negative consequences, perpetuating crises.
