This text is a scam. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) explicitly warns that they do not send text messages containing links or asking you to click to log in.The CRA never uses SMS to initiate contact about assessments, refunds, or tax credits. Legitimate notifications are handled via mail or through your secure online account.How to protect yourself:Do not click the link: The URL canada.ca-ns.cfd is a fake (spoofed) site designed to steal your Social Insurance Number (SIN), banking information, and passwords.Delete the message: Do not reply to the text or use the "STOP" command, as this only confirms your number is active.Verify official notices: If you are genuinely concerned about your 2025 tax assessment, log in directly via the CRA My Account portal.
