After attending meetings where seniors and some people with disabilities were in attendance, it became apparent that there was definately a great need for this type of service. Stores with long aisles and high shelves are the challenges facing people. With my love of shopping and meeting people, I decided this is a service that I would love doing. e a reality and I am now open for your shopping needs. Each shopping trip will save you money as I price match and coupon as many of your items as I can. A valuable service that many simply don't have the time to do! Rates are $20.00 / shopping trip for Summerside and Tyne Valley. All other areas can be provided with a quote- just call for details!

Did a small shop for my family in Summerside this morning. Didn't expect to do one this week as when I left them last week, we said our goodbyes for 3 weeks but he called last night with an order. Had a lot of laughs but when I was leaving got lots of hugs from both and she said, "Oh Darlene, what are we going to do without you." Told her she had plenty of groceries for the next 6 weeks. "It's not the groceries, it's just that we won't see you for 3 weeks and that is way too long." How do you not get attached to these people??

Felt so badly yesterday. One of my regular clients tried to call me Sunday evening and I was away as they were to give their list. I was away and didn't get home until later then yesterday left home early so didn't call them. Around 11 I arrived at their place and they were worried sick. They thought that I was sick or the car broke down or I was in an accident. They called the house 3 or 4 times leaving messages. They were worried sick about me. Needless to say had a long visit before I took them out shopping then when came back to their apartment there for another hour. What a beautiful little couple they are. Sure love helping them. Still have some opening if anyone would like to give up their shopping and hand it over to Darlene's Store to Door. Give you lots of time to enjoy the other things in life.

Can't wait to do my shop this week. Received my new Trolly Bags and can't wait to use them. Should be interesting. All those bright colors and they look to be so much easier then using regular bags.

My favorite couple told me to keep an eye out for Puritan Stews for them. Sobeys just happened to have them on sale this week so I picked up 4 cans and dropped over with it. They were so happy to see me and couldn't believe that I remember the stew. I was in a rush as usual as had my grandson with me so couldn't stay. My minute only lasted another 30 lol. She had to give me a hug and a can of ginger ale and asked me to please come back to visit. He thought he had to pay me for my shop and couldn't believe when I said no, just pay for the product. Just love this job.
