It has been a little while since the doors of Shawanda closed, and I just want to say… thank you.
The messages, the stories, the memories you’ve shared have meant more than I can put into words. Hearing how the space touched your life reminds me that what we built together truly mattered.
I’ve been sitting quietly with this transition… as much as one can while wrapping up fifteen years of a business. There is still year end bookkeeping to complete and the practical pieces to tend to before true rest begins… closing a chapter takes both heart and paperwork. Even in that, I feel gratitude.
Shawanda may no longer exist as a physical space, but the community we created was never confined to four walls. It lives in the Reiki you practice. In the stones on your altar. In the breaths you take when life feels heavy. In the courage you found in ceremony. In the friendships formed there.
After this season of closing and completion… and a much needed rest… I do plan to resume my Reiki practice. I will keep you informed as a new place arrives and the next chapter gently unfolds.
Spaces close. Seasons shift. But connection doesn’t disappear.
I’m still here. The heart behind Shawanda is still beating. And I trust that what is meant to grow next will come in its own right timing.
For now, I simply want to say thank you… for the years, the trust, the laughter, and the love.
