I'm on vacation for the first time since last August, relaxing while listening to the rain, reading, sipping tea + finally properly enjoying some of our incredible garden foods on a personal-size charcuterie board - let's take a look:

* Slabtown Cider Co. Cherry Cranberry Herb Jelly + Pepper Garlic Scape Jelly with Laughing Cow + Whipped Chive cream cheese + Official Schär US & CA Page crackers

* Pickled Garlic Scapes + German sausage

* Nectar Honey + blueberries + salted cashews

Made fresh with local local local food!

Seriously the best time of year.

Plant of the week! Gasteria Pillansii aka Cattle Tongue or Lawyer’s Tongue!
This plant has quickly become a shop favourite (or at least for Shae)! Adaptable to different light conditions, and infrequent watering make this a super easy to care for plant! Plus, it’s pet safe!
Gasteria Pillansii is native to South Africa, and grows relatively quickly, up to 8 inches per year, plus additional “tongues” will keep popping up from the soil.

This plant has been popular in our potting bar lately- in Shae’s golden t-Rex, and some custom made pots by Carly’s hubby, Eric, aka Ux 3D Prints

Our food garden is bursting + we are harvesting almost daily!

Check the shop weekly as we stuff the shelves with preserved food + body products - last night I made Blueberry Rhubarb Jam 🫐🫙

FYI we are taking a hard-earned + much-deserved lil shop hiatus next week to spend time with our families!

We are closed Tuesday August 4 - Friday August 7.

We open again Saturday August 8 @ 930 am completely restocked with new plants, food + more.

Gorgeous weather in store for our Garden Open House tomorrow raising funds for the Beez Kneez Therapy Garden at Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health where I received treatment during my mental health breakdown.

Admission is pay what you can, and I'll have delicious herbal tea to sip while wandering the grounds.

It's a rare Saturday off while the girls run the shop and I'm in my garden happy place

We planted double the amount of everlasting flowers this season + today is the first of many harvests that will go until frost.

In my hand:

* Strawflower
* Statice
* Gomphrena

I'm hosting a nature-witchy-soul workshop in the fall to make a beautiful wood + bead + crystal window hanger with these very flowers.
