Did you guess right? A couple of days ago, we asked you to pick the AI photo. And we were actually quite surprised at the different things that were pointed out and how split the overall decision was!

Our prompt to ChatGPT was "Put this coat on the model in the first image [we obviously put images of the jacket as well], style it open and don't change anything else about the original image. Make it as realistic as possible with imperfect folds/bulkiness, etc."

So the majority of the image is actually exaclty what our camera captured, but it was incredibly to see how people thought parts of it were AI!

In our opinion, you can see how different the jacket looks on in real life, vs the AI rendering. Real life is full of lumps and bumps and all sorts of awkward shapes. And we think it's a much better representation of our brand, which is part of the reason we try to avoid using AI to create images of models wearing out clothing.

Okay, let’s see how good you are at spotting AI. 👀

One of these photos is actually me wearing this coat in the store.

The other one was created with AI using a photo of the coat and a real picture of me in the outfit underneath.

And I have to admit… it’s getting a little unsettling how convincing this stuff is. However, we still think it's pretty easy to spot the real one, which is one of the reasons we don't like to use AI much when editing our photos.

So, zoom in, conduct a full forensic investigation before answering. We're pretty sure you know the answer😂
