She loved the look of sea glass & started bringing buckets of it home with her with no clue of what she’d do with them. When Covid hit suddenly found herself with a lot of free time & started experimenting. She started with earrings, then pendants and before you know she had a whole jewellery line. Stunning Golden watercolour paint by The Chow Studio is a traveling art studio that has been supporting art education from Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast to the South Okanagan Valley since 1990. More than a conventional art studio, Studio founder Maggie believes that artists of all ages and abilities should never stop learning, therefore creates playfully inspired art programs and events for everyone to expand their thinking from a new perspective. From a professional development workshop, corporate art event, as well as a community festival. Maggie believes Art is essential to life in our communities and strives to support and share her values. The Chow Studio uses art to promote well-being and create a space for social connection and conversation.

-- Studio founder Maggie has been serving the community for 30 years. Her practice is most significantly influenced by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, and she is a certified artist educator with GOLDEN Artist Paints. She also co-authored Davis Art’s book Beautiful Stuff 2nd Edition: Beautiful Stuff from Nature. She has recently joined the Robert Bateman Foundation Nature Sketch to promote eco-literacy and inspire appreciation of the natural world. - Magnolia: such a sumptuous and exotic flower. Supposedly in ancient China the magnolia symbolized a clean and pure spirit.

-- Coral has been drawing, painting and making art since she was a little girl. She grew up in a small cabin near a beautiful bay on the west coast of British Columbia, Vancouver Island. Her childhood by the sea gave her lots of time and opportunity to observe the beauty and wonder of nature. She have a Fine Arts Degree from U.B.C and has shown in galleries across Canada and the U.S.A. She have recently relocated to beautiful Cowichan Bay and live and paint on a float home.
