I’ll never get over this wall hanging I made this summer 🪩 I’ve been feeling very inspired by OG 90’s Polly Pocket (the sets that had multiple houses) so I’m planning to make a mini Forks, Washington wall piece using a punch needled base so it’s a little grassy floating island, with major Twilight landmarks made out of clay that can snap onto it (?) with trees and foliage. I also need to make a Bella portrait to complete this collection (IT’S ALL FOR MY TWILIGHT THEMED BATHROOM OKAY). I’m speaking these plans into action!! IT WILL HAPPEN!!

i love KD. the latest punch needle project I wrapped up in August for our own space 🥣 anyone else remember the TV commercial where the KD was glowing in the dark? I feel like that’s been stamped into my brain along with the Canadian house hippo (which I admit I also thought was real at the time). anyways, I now realize KD makes me feel like I’m 12 and trying to figure out the best ratio of butter and milk…and then realizing just butter was the best ratio 🤣 I could never get it right!

I started making these portraits to experiment combining punch needling with beaded embroidery, and it’s been a BLAST. Decided to start with an ambitious project to make the six wives of Henry VIII because a) I’m obsessed with Tudor history, b) I’d get to watch period dramas as I work on (I’m pretty sure I watched 6 seasons of Outlander as I worked on these) and c) I’d get more pieces to decorate my house with so it was a win-win project to start with 🏠 Here’s the first three of his wives: Catherine of Aragorn, Anne Boleyn, and Jane Seymour. ‼️SHOP IS CLOSING DOWN FOR THE HOLIDAYS DEC 16TH‼️
I’ve been taking a little break from social media lately to figure out what direction The Frog Faerie is heading in 2023 💛 I’ve decided to do a rebrand that will have a fresh new look, an updated website, and a new range of products. I’m planning on going back to working full time in animation sometimes in the new year, but The Frog Faerie will still run strong as it’s MY DREAM to one day be able to work on it full time 💛
Thank you ALL for your support, I’ve been blown away with all the new friends, the kindness and the supportive community on here. Wishing you all a safe December! Thank you for all the love!
