✨ Ribbon Skirt — $300 💜❤️✨

This beautiful pre-loved ribbon skirt has a little history of its own. ❤️ I wore this skirt at Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week, and it was also featured in a fashion photoshoot.

The batik print is full of deep indigo, violet, turquoise, and teal, with overlapping ferns, tropical fronds, and leaves throughout. The bold chevron ribbon design brings in layers of blue, purple, lavender, and indigo, finished with bright red satin ribbon around the edges.

The full, flared shape gives it lots of movement, with the back falling approximately 4.5 inches longer than the front for a subtle train.

This skirt looks especially beautiful worn over a circle skirt, hoop skirt, or cage skirt to give it even more volume and that really dramatic, full look. ✨

Every ribbon, every stitch, and every detail is part of my creative process.

This is a pre-loved piece that has been worn, but still has lots of life left in it and is ready for someone new to love and wear.

✨ Floral Fire Ribbon Dress 🌺🔥✨

This one is extra special to me. ❤️ This was the very first dress I created for my line for Vancouver Indigenous Fashion Week in 2022, and it had the honour of being featured on the runway.

Deep burgundy cotton sets the foundation for this bold and beautiful dress, with an embroidered floral bodice blooming across the top in rich shades of cream, gold, green, pink, and blue. Layers of vibrant ribbons sweep across the skirt in a dramatic chevron design, bringing together fiery reds, golden yellow, soft green, turquoise, and deep blue.

This dress feels like flowers, fire, and colour all coming together—bold, feminine, and full of movement. Every ribbon, every stitch carries love, life, and the energy of my creative process.

As I'm getting this MMIWG ribbon skirt ready to mail to its new home, I'm feeling all kinds of emotions.

This skirt has always been incredibly sacred to me. It carries so much meaning, and letting it go is bittersweet. But I know it's going to someone who truly connects with it, who will cherish it, and that brings me so much peace.

I often doubt myself. I question whether my work is good enough, whether people really like what I create, or if I'm doing enough. I'm my own biggest critic.

But then I stop and think about the people who come back. The ones who have purchased two, three, four, or even more pieces from me over the years. That kind of support means more than I could ever put into words. It reminds me that my work is finding its way to the people it's meant for.

Rez Candy Shoppe just wrapped up another 7-week workshop with the ladies at the YWCA ✨

This time we switched things up and made boho bags, coin purses, and sunglass pouches—and it was so fun trying something new together and seeing everyone’s creations come to life.

I’m really grateful for these workshops and the chance to create in such a welcoming space 💛

12 years ago I made my very first skirt… and honestly, I had no idea what I was starting 🧵✨
A memory popped up today, so I went down the rabbit hole and counted every skirt I’ve posted on here — 152 😳 (and that’s probably not even all of them).
So if my math is mathing… that means I made one 12 years ago… and apparently 151 in the last 5 years 😂
Safe to say something clicked along the way.
Grateful for every single one — the learning curves, the late nights, the “what was I thinking” moments, and the pieces that turned into something really special.
Here’s to where it started… and everything it’s grown into 💫

✨ Blush & Amethyst ✨

As many of you know, I often get bored of what I’m doing, so I switch it up—and quilting is something I’ve completely fallen in love with.

This is only my second quilt ever. I started it for myself—pink and purple are some of my favorite colors—but before I was even finished… it sold.

A friend once told me during a time of struggle that not only am I beautiful, but I also bring beautiful things into the world. I think about that a lot when I’m making pieces like this.

Bittersweet to let this one go, but I know it’s going to be loved.

Every stitch, every fabric choice, every late night working on it carries a piece of me—and now it gets to carry that into someone else’s space.
