Creating Your Neutral Palette - Rule of Undertone
(One rule that applies to all design disciplines, from art & design, to fashion, interior and make-up)

A neutral palette doesn't need to be pale or boring. Use more than one neutral color to add depth and interest to the other colors of your design. You can use the undertone of the neutral color to select an accent color for your décor. When the undertone value of 2-3 colours is a good match, mixing these neutrals is a breeze.

Neutral color palettes in interior design can be more than one value of white, beige, taupe, gray or black. The most versatile of these colors are white (reflects all colors) and black (absorbs all colors). These are followed by beige, taupe, and gray.

We built our Helena collection following the same key principle of matching undertones. Layering neutrals can help you achieve a timeless look, and timelessness and sustainability go hand in hand.
