🚨 Before You Buy Crypto…

Everyone talks about what coin to buy.

Very few people talk about how to buy it safely.

The truth is, the biggest mistakes beginners make usually have nothing to do with picking the “wrong” cryptocurrency. They happen because they skip the basics.

Take five minutes and ask yourself these questions before making your next purchase:

✅ Do I understand what I’m buying?

Not every crypto project has the same purpose. Learn what it does before investing your money.

✅ Am I using a reputable exchange?

Choosing a trusted platform is one of the most important decisions you’ll make.

✅ Have I turned on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?

A strong password is good. A strong password + 2FA is even better.

✅ Do I know where my crypto will be stored?

Understanding the difference between an exchange, a hot wallet, and a cold wallet can help you protect your assets.

✅ Am I investing money I can afford to leave invested?

Crypto can be volatile. Having a long-term mindset and only investing what you’re comfortable with can help you avoid emotional decisions.

The goal isn’t to become an expert overnight.

The goal is to keep learning, make informed decisions, and build confidence one step at a time.

Knowledge is one of the best investments you can make.

💰 Ever wonder why exchange fees aren’t always the same?

It all comes down to whether you’re a Maker or a Taker.

🟢 Maker = You place a Limit Order that waits to be filled. You add liquidity, so fees are often lower.

🔴 Taker = You place a Market Order that fills immediately. You remove liquidity, so fees are often higher.

Understanding this simple difference can help you become a smarter crypto trader and potentially save on fees over time.

Spot Trading and Futures are NOT the same. ⚠️

With Spot Trading, you buy and own the actual cryptocurrency.

With Futures, you’re trading a contract based on the price of crypto, often using leverage, which can increase both gains and losses.

Knowing the difference could help you avoid an expensive beginner mistake.

Crypto fees aren’t all the same. 💰

When you buy or sell crypto, you may pay a trading fee. When you move crypto on a blockchain, there’s often a network fee. And when you transfer crypto off an exchange, you may also pay a withdrawal fee.

Understanding the difference can help you make smarter decisions and keep more of your crypto over time.

🚨 Ever place a trade and notice you paid a different price than you expected?

You may have experienced slippage. 📉📈

Slippage is the difference between the price you expect to buy or sell at and the price you actually get when your order is executed.

For example…

👉 You place a Market Order to buy Bitcoin at $100,000.

By the time your order is filled, the price has moved to $100,150.

That $150 difference is called slippage.

💡 Slippage is more common when:

• Markets are moving very quickly ⚡
• There isn’t much buying or selling volume 📊
• You’re placing a large order 🐋

This doesn’t mean anything is “wrong” with the exchange. It’s simply how markets work when prices are changing in real time.

One way traders try to reduce slippage is by using Limit Orders, which let you choose the maximum price you’re willing to pay (or the minimum price you’re willing to accept).

📚 The more you understand concepts like slippage, the more confident you’ll become when placing trades.
