Community Offering Alert 🌿 The first session will be tomorrow, June 30th from 3-6 pm.

If you’ve been carrying a heavy burden or bearing witness, we invite you to sign up for this free offering at Massy Books.

On the third Tuesday of every month for the rest of 2026 (excluding June and August), we’re opening the upstairs space to anyone who would like a cedar brushing from χʷəy̓χʷiq̓tən / Audrey Siegl.

Cedar brushing is a traditional form of medicine used to cleanse what is unhelpful, to clear the body of negativity and to uplift the spirit.

χʷəy̓χʷiq̓tən / Audrey Siegl works with the teachings and medicines passed down through her Musqueam family and ancestors. She has long been active in grassroots environmental, social justice, and political frontline movements. While her practice is rooted in West Coast and Musqueam medicines, she has worked extensively across Turtle Island with many teachings and medicines. She is proud and honoured to carry forward the work of her grandparents and ancestors.

This offering is free and open to the community, though registration will be required.

For tomorrow’s session—Tuesday, June 30, from 3:00–6:00 p.m.—we’re opening the doors on short notice, so you’re welcome to simply drop in anytime between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. and sign up when you arrive. Beginning next month, an online registration form will be available.

Please note that the upstairs space will be closed while cedar brushings are taking place. A sign will be posted at the bottom of the stairs to let customers know.

Massy books’ employee, Isabella Wang needs our help. Please read and go to this fundraiser and donate to let her breath, rest, and heal. She deserves peace ❤️

Isabella needs to know that her community is behind her right now. What she has endured in her short life, no one should have to go through. Many of you know her story, but for those that don’t, she moved more than 18 times before graduating, was briefly homeless, survived kidney cancer, and is no...
