We’ve been staring at this sign since Gentle Fawn relocated, and the banner has been waving for a non-existent brand in this building. We’ve gotten confused looks and questions about where this brand is, and we can only tell them, “it’s not here anymore”. Today is the day we put boots on the ground and get this project started, and we’re starting with YOU. As the best leather shop on the block (because we’re the only one), what should we replace the banner with? If you have any ideas, we’d love to hear them, and if you’re a manufacturer or sign maker, we’d love to showcase your work in Mount Pleasant!

Leave a suggestion in the comments and maybe, just maybe, we’ll start making moves on taking this sign down and replacing it with a schwanky sign 🤩

Shell-On Vegetable Tanned Horsehide 🤌🏼

Most leather hides are popularly sold in full hides, half hides, or shoulders. Most of which are bovine. However, these bovine hides don’t have the same characteristics as a horsehide butt.

Shell-on horsehide means that the leather is sold with the butt of the horse still connected, a rare occurrence in most suppliers and tanneries. We’ve worked with Atlantica Leathers to offer hides with the shell still on, so you can choose options that include the shell and the parts of the leather you would usually use. Sold in full hide (with shell), butt (with shell) and shoulder hide (no shell).
