Yes, Halloween is coming.

But Thanksgiving is coming first and we’re giving it its moment.

This weekend’s new arrivals are Thanksgiving inspired, at least in name, with everything from beautiful fall wovens and vintage cottons to performance knits, florals, lace and a few things that have absolutely no interest in looking seasonal.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so we’re officially getting into the fall mindset.

For this weekend’s drop we decided every new fabric needed a Thanksgiving-inspired name. With a pun, obviously, because we love a good pun.

The actual collection is wonderfully eclectic: knits, wovens, vintage pieces, prints, solids, performance fabrics and lots of other good things that have been arriving in the studio.

Just another day at FABCYCLE and we got a massive donation of deadstock fabric rolls that we have to figure out what to do with.
And it’s always the same, where is it gonna go and who can use it?
If you’ve been to our reuse centre you know that it’s always shifting because we have to get super creative with organization because we never know what’s coming or how much of it is coming in.
So we got really good at figuring out creative ways to sort materials but it’s always the same cycle: excitement, overwhelm, let’s get to action and figure it out.
So if you’re a maker or a designer, come over to the reuse centre - we have soooooo much fabric for you and it’s all need to go!

Remember we took you with us for a pickup of deadstock fabrics? We ended up getting 2 huge boxes of pretty ribbing and finally we were able to fully sort and organize it and it’s now availble in our online shop! :)

This Friday, September 25, come hang out with us for a few hours of sewing, chatting, swapping and good company!

Bring whatever you’re working on, whether it’s a UFO, a new project, or something you’ve been putting off finishing.

We’ll have two sewing machines, a serger, shared supplies, our free fabric swap table and plenty of treasures to dig through.
