The magic that makes our bookstore is this - our classroom! All of our programming is inspired by books and the people who write and illustrate them. Being able to let a book guide the way to writing a lesson plan lets us explore the ideas and art within picturebooks; giving kids (and adults) the space to be creative themselves. We’re celebrating that everyday around here. Join us on Saturday April 25th 12-5 for Indie Book Store Day and find a book or two.

Sunday April 19: Tidy Ted Meets Jess the Mess Book Launch with Joanna McIntyre
Collage Collage is thrilled to host author Joanna McIntyre! Joanna has been a client at the shop for several years, and while being an incredible mom of 3 kids she also produced this wonderful little book. Just like in our Mini Make classes (where we met Joanna) the story of Tidy Ted and Jess the Mess reminds us that we can find new friends in unexpected places - and that being different can be a true gift to a friendship.

Join us to celebrate Joanna and her book with a craft and a fun afternoon at the shop. As always, your ticket is your book - so purchase one here today and join us Sunday April 19th from 12:30-2:30. Best for kids 3 and up. Can’t wait to see you there.

Summer Camp at Collage Collage is BACK!
Our camps are the best because we keep them small and lead by creative and kind artist instructors. We work on all kinds of mixed media projects in our cheerful and calm workshop. Kids are inspired by our best story books and excellent supplies, there’s a reason they always sell out!

Pick your week and get ready for some fun.
Camps are for kids 6-10 (children can be 5 turning 6 but not under 5). The same programming repeats all summer. Kids can repeat weeks. Half day programming only; it’s what we do best for this age.

All camp sales are final, read on and choose your week!

Saturday April 18: The Girl Who Changed Little League Book Launch with Sarah Green

Just as Baseball season begins we’re delighted to welcome Sarah Green and her book The Girl How Changed Little League to Collage Collage.

Sarah is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and is now currently based in Vancouver BC. She’s been teaching at Emily Carr University, and we’re delighted to host her for the first time Saturday April 18th.

Purchase your book as your ticket for the event, and join us for a craft inspired by Maria Pepe - the baseball player that the book is based on. 1-3pm, best for ages 5 and up.

Just wrote my newsletter subscribers a lovely little note about keeping poetry in our lives. These two new titles are a beautiful way to bring Mary Oliver into your libraries. One illuminates her poem “Goldfinches” with the most glorious illustrations by and the other tells the story of Mary’s life in a tender and true way for 7-10yr olds. Keep poetry in their lives (and yours too).
