I love how using offcuts inspires me to try creative ideas I wouldn’t have otherwise thought of.
This Diamond took shape from some random white oak offcuts that were destined for the wood bin. I’ve made a smaller one before so the diamond itself wasn’t inspired this time, but the background was. I wanted a 3 x 3ft background and didn’t have anything other than some smaller rectangular plywood offcuts. After some trial and error I figured out a way to cut them to achieve the 3ft square and even showcase the fact they are separate by giving each piece a different colour. What do you think?!
