I thought I was making a rosary.
God was teaching me something instead.
A client reached out asking if I could create a rosary using beads that held deep personal meaning to her and her family. Although this isn’t something I usually do, her story touched my heart, and I felt I should make an exception.
As I started, I quickly realized the bead holes were incredibly tight.
I tried everything I knew.
Different techniques. Different knots. Again and again.
Nothing worked.
Eventually, I set everything aside and walked away for a while.
When I came back, I paused before trying again.
I prayed.
As I prayed, I felt a gentle invitation in my heart: “Try again.”
My first thought was, “But I’ve already tried.”
A few moments later, I felt it again.
And then once more…
So I did.
Little by little, bead after bead, I was finally able to continue. 😱
Then came one last surprise.
After so many attempts to make the thread thin enough to fit through those tiny bead holes, I had burned so much of it that I was convinced it wouldn’t be long enough to finish the rosary.
But somehow... it was.
The thread was exactly enough.
Not too short.
Not too long.
Just enough to complete the rosary.
At that moment, I couldn’t help but smile.
In that moment, I felt God gently reminding me that when He invites us to persevere, He also provides exactly what we need.
Not always more.
Never less.
Exactly enough.
That day, He taught me to be more sensitive to His presence, more attentive to His gentle promptings, more patient in the waiting, and more obedient, even when I couldn’t yet understand why.
Sometimes, faith looks as simple as trying one more time.
This rosary will always remind me that God is present, even in the smallest details. 🤍
