Act II is a local thrift store dedicated to helping people find quality used goods at affordable prices. We are a proud part of NeighbourLink Vanderhoof.

We are a proud partner with Vanderhoof"s NeighbourLink Outreach. The proceeds from the sale of our items supports NeighbourLink's many community programs. We accept donations of gently-used clothing, footwear and small household items. We accept your generous donations with grateful hearts!

School starts in 3 weeks, which is either an exciting or gloomy idea, depending on your age and position. To help ease that "summer is ending too fast" sense of panic, we're offering a little retail therapy.

From August 18th to 29th, there's a clothing Bag Sale & Half-Price Housewares Sale! We've stuffed the racks and this will be your last chance to buy any summer clothing like shorts and sandals. Once September arrives, we'll be bringing out...dare we say it...WINTER clothes (insert dramatic shudder here)!

For at least the first week of the sale, PLEASE PAUSE CLOTHING DONATIONS, although we'll still welcome housewares. Accepting clothing donations while a sale is on is like trying to shovel snow in a blizzard! See you all soon.

It's suddenly August, also known as "where did the summer go?" If you're doing decluttering and downsizing, Act II is excited to receive donations again!

We're accepting both clothing and housewares. Some things that we are currently short of are:
☆jewelry, scarves, purses, wallets, belts, hats
☆men's clothing (it always seems to be a challenge to have enough)
☆adult fiction novels (both paperback and hardcover)
☆cookware (pots & pans) and dishes
☆music CDs
☆craft supplies and school supplies
...but we'll take most things in gently-used, resellable condition.

Items can be dropped off Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4pm, or reach out by Facebook Messenger or by phoning (250)567-9018 for alternate arrangements.

We're closed from Saturday August 1st to Monday August 3rd for the BC Day long weekend. The weekend forecast: plenty of relaxing, listening to the rain drench absolutely everything, a fuzzy blanket to accompany a good book, mug of steaming beverage in hand and absolutely no chance of work! Happy BC Day!

Howdy! The Fall Fair is comin' up yonder and we're sure-as-shootin' that there are some high-falutin' outfits just beggin' to be revealed to the adoring public!

To help you look ace-high, we're fixin' to extend our clothing Bag Sale for 4 more days so you don't miss out on the fashion fabulosity (yep, it's a word...we just invented it). Saddle up and ride on over; the sale now ends at 4pm on Friday July 31st.

We reckon we're ready for housewares donations but need a bit more time to wrangle through a heap of clothing. Please hang on to your clothing donations until Tuesday August 4th at high noon. We surely do appreciate it, pardner!

I'll get it started. Summer is so hot that:..you can bake cookies on the dash of your car while driving to work...your new favourite stores are the ones with air conditioning...all the furry farm animals are hogging the kiddie pool.

Since it's shaping up to be a meltingly-hot week, drop by for delightfully cold air conditioning and steamingly hot deals at our Clothing Bag Sale & Half-Price Housewares Sale! Everything in the store is discounted to help you find the neatest goodies at the best price.

While the sale is on, please hang on to your donations until we catch up a bit and make more room. Summer is so hot that we're having the coolest sale in town!

The temperature is climbing and so is the mountain of donations we have to sort through. Please hold ALL donations as devotedly as a squirrel hoarding acorns until we make more room.

Our volunteers are absolutely amazing at what they do, but we're all feeling overwhelmed. We have over 30 volunteers who work harder than caffeinated squirrels to keep the store looking spiffy!

Keep an eye on our page for details about our upcoming summer sale. If you like smokin' hot deals, you'll go nuts over the sale!

Act II Thrift Store will be closed on Wednesday July 1st to celebrate Canada Day. We will be open on Thursday July 2nd at noon for our Bag Sale and Half-price Linens Sale to resume.

We're extending our Bag Sale this Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, and we're adding Half-Price Linens to the fun! Here are our top summer uses for blankets and sheets:

☆blanket forts! Fun for all ages!
☆ground cover for spontaneous picnics
☆fuzzy throws create a perfect reading (or napping) spot
☆twin-size fitted sheets make great tablecloths for vendor tables!
☆large sheets keep birds away from berry bushes
☆blankets or sheets are bigger and better than beach towels for stretching out on
☆homemade sun shade (like a blanket fort for the backyard or beach)

We'll be closed on Wednesday July 1st for Canada Day and Saturday July 4th so our volunteers can enjoy the Vanderhoof Centennial celebrations.
