This shoppe has truly connected me with the most magical of humans. One of whom is Ines, co-owner of My Nordic Garden—who is not only warm and completely lovely to be around, but is also an expert in therapeutic horticulture programming, healing garden design, and nature-based wellness. 🌿🍃

This coming Friday, Ines is holding an insightful and relaxing retreat at Garden Path Homemade Soap, where you'll participate in a guided walk and learn how to identify common wild and cultivated herbs, as well as explore their traditional medicinal uses, taste seasonal plants, and hear the stories that have connected people to these herbs for generations.

There's been quite a lot of talk around the word "witch" in the shoppe, especially at this time of year.

I've had people tell me they're DEFINITELY not a witch while describing things that sound remarkably witchy.

I've had people ask, wide-eyed, if I am.

I've overheard others talk about intuition, connecting with nature, following the moon, creating intention...and then quickly add, "Oh, but I'm not a witch."

It's interesting how much weight that word still carries.

That's why it felt refreshing to hear it spoken about so openly in the mainstream by one of the stars of Practical Magic 2. In an interview on The View today, Maisie Williams said:

"I think with the rise of divine feminine power, it feels exciting to call yourself a witch because I think what it means is that we're connected with one another and we're tuned in with each other, and there's a lot of power {...} when women are, you know, united.

I think that that term which used to be something that was very negative for women is now something that we can reclaim."

Whether the word resonates with you or not, I hope more and more people come to see that there's something beautiful in connection, intuition, and community—and a little everyday magic is nothing to be afraid of. 😌🧹🌿

A few weeks ago, I wouldn't have thought old cheese wheel crates would be the thing to follow me home from an antique store? 🧀🧀 But they were delightfully strange, and somehow felt meant for the shoppe.

I always love finding new ways to blend old things with new beginnings.

After a little refurbishing, they've found a new purpose as tables and hidden storage, making room for the fall collection that's slowly beginning to arrive! (Wooooo 🍂)

One of the first hints of the season are these beautiful hand-poured soy candles from Lavender Crow 🪻🐦‍⬛🕯️ 🕯️✨
