I (Liz) first started attending church when I was 14 years old. I went on my own, because I had made a "deal" with God, and I wanted to make good on my promise (a story for another time). When I walked in the church, I met one of the pastor's 4 sons, and he was carrying a Bible case, not too dissimilar to mine, pictured below. I quietly asked one of his brothers why he was carrying a purse 😂 oh, boy was I embarrassed. But you never learn unless you ask!
