🌎 Tuesday Tips to make our world a greener place 🌍

Cool, cozy autumn days call for tea! But did you know that traditional tea bags contain up to 25% plastic?

Silky pyramid bags are often made entirely of nylon or PET plastic to maintain their shape. Once steeped these bags can shed roughly 11.6 billion microplastics and 3.1 billion nano plastics.

Alternatively standard paper bags often use a thin layer of polypropylene plastic or heat sealed glue along the edges.

A great alternative is using a stainless steel, ceramic or glass infuser with loose leaf tea!🫖 Now you can enjoy your warm beverage plastic free ♥️

We’re excited to now carry the Unscented Version of the Beauty From Bees Inc. body serum!! For those that are scent sensitive, or work/study in a scent free environment, this one’s for you ♥️

Keep the serum in the shower and apply to damp skin before drying off; this helps to seal in the moisture all day. This serum has a luxurious texture so a little goes a long way.

We love that the serum is a Canadian product, with simple clean ingredients for your skin. Once you’ve finished your serum keep your bottle for refills in store 😊

🌎 Tuesday Tips to make our world a greener place 🌍

Leave your leaves for the bees! 🐝 🍂

Did you know that fallen leaves provide critical overwintering habitat and protection for beneficial insects, pollinators and wildlife?

Why leave the leaves?
1. Shelter for beneficial bugs and predators such as spiders and beetles
2. Caterpillar and cocoon protection: Many butterfly and moth species overwinter as eggs, caterpillars, or cocoons nestled on fallen leaves.
3. Natural fertilizer: As the leaves decompose they return essential nutrients back to your soil.
4. Food for wildlife: Bugs hiding in leaves can produce an essential food source for foraging birds throughout the winter.
