One of our dresses in the wild! We were sent this stunning collection of photos by Chris Verburg Chris Verburg after she wore one of our dresses, a gorgeous, goldenrod gingham print, to R.J. Haney Heritage Village for their annual car show! We absolutely love the way the print pairs with the cars and the setting of the historical village. How much fun would that be? What a beautiful adventure!

Corset Fact! Did you know the boning of a corset, the hard bits inserted into the channels between the seams on a corset, were traditionally made of baleen? Baleen, commonly known as whalebone, is a keratinous material that was harvested from the jawbones of baleen whales. It is very similar to your fingernails in texture! Nowadays we don’t use baleen for boning in garments. Cheaper corsets have replaced the baleen with plastic and most high-end corsets use steel or a synthetic whalebone now!
