Ryan is the owner of the award winning business Knotty by Nature. We have become the leading local fibre retailer by building community & sharing our love for the fibre arts. Our goal is for the store to be a welcoming place, for novices to experts to explore the fibre arts. We have a nice comfy couch to sit and visit on, and we offer unique services such as a "knitting needle exchange," a community bulletin board, and on-site drum carding . We sell local fibres, yarns, handspun wool and unique hand made gifts. The material on this site were reproduced for enjoyment, review and information purposes.

This Wednesday, September 30, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, join us at the shop for a gentle drop in workshop to fundraise for Victoria Orange Shirt Day. Learn how to crochet a heart!

Come anytime between 10:30 and 12:30 or between 1:30 and 3:30. This workshop is by donation and NOT beginner friendly - if you have never crocheted before, learning a couple of basic techniques first will be very helpful for you! Hearts are a little tricky.

We hope to see you then. And we hope our Indigenous friends and family are being very gentle with themselves this time of year.🧔🧔

British Columbia has decided to remove the PST exemption on craft goods ... Sigh. We really tried y'all, we don't want to charge this tax any more than you want to pay it. But you have nine more days to save a bit of $$, so now's a great time to stock up on sweater quantities of yarn or cones for your weaving projects or fibre for your felted creations.

We certainly hope your hard-earned, well-spent fibre taxes go toward making life better for British Columbians at least. May it bring more housing, more food security, and better education to our province.

Took a trip to one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and of course I brought my spindle. Sometimes natural beauty asks for slow craft for it to be fully appreciated
