Why does Unity Foods exist? We do this because we love our community! We want our loved ones (YES! That means YOU!) to be nourished and healthy with the highest quality of foods at the best price. We want all of us to have more vitality and vigor to achieve our dreams, and enough abundance to to back that all up. Unity foods also strengthens community by supporting our members to participate as fully as they desire in buying, selling, and trading within our new community food economy. We provide affordable ingredients, and if you choose to transform these into your own value-added creations, we also provide a space for you to sell the goods you create. Our weekly shop day will become not only a time to stock up on ingredients, but also a time to connect, share resources, source our needs from within our community, and buy/sell/trade our own creations and services. How will the lovely ladies organizing Unity Foods bring this to you?! Our passion for having a happy, healthy community, and our own need to access wholesale pricing on food for our own businesses, have inspired us to source the best quality and best-priced distributors for all of our favourite items. This will be very much a home grown operation in the sense that the market will be held at our home to keep the overhead ultra low so we don't have to charge you extra for rental of an expensive store front. We will start with having one weekly shop day for you to come in anytime during that day to get the items you need. If you are not able to make it on that day, just talk to us.
