Even though the holidays are behind us, we couldn't wait to share one of our favourite projects from last year. We had the honour of working with Geocaching HQ to celebrate a major milestone: 25 years of geocaching! This custom advent calendar coin was the perfect way to look back on a quarter-century of adventure.

We always love working with geocaching to come up with meaningful coin designs for memorable events. This design is a great example of how much detail we can pack into a coin. One side looks like a gift, complete with a bright red bow and sparkling glitter enamel. The other side features Signal the Frog® with geocaching gear: a GPS, flashlight, and even a First to Find token. With its polished nickel finish and heavy 3.5-inch thickness, this coin was built to become a collector’s item.

We cruised north from Australia to geocache, and made unforgettable memories in Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, and Fiji.

From remote villages to vibrant birds and plants unlike anything back home in Canada, every day was a gift. Our lives are richer—and we are gentler—for having experienced it all!

The journey isn’t over yet - adventures continue in our next ports in Tonga and New Zealand!

Canadians abroad!
The Virtual geocache at the Sydney Opera House asked us to hold up something with our geocaching name. Instead of a piece of paper or our phone, we're showing off our Landsharkz zipper pull! We've been leaving these in geocaches all over Oceania as they fit everywhere!

Geocaching in Australia has been an unforgettable experience. 🇦🇺

Along the way, we logged caches across multiple locations, fed kangaroos, and enjoyed the uniquely Australian settings that made each find memorable. For Virtuals and EarthCaches requiring a verification photo, we used our custom Cacher Cards displaying our geocaching account - practical, consistent, and travel-friendly.

We also had the pleasure of photographing several Travel Bugs, including a delightful collection of rubber duck companions that we met on the journey.

Grateful for the creativity of cache owners, the stories carried by Travel Bugs, and the opportunity to geocache in such an extraordinary part of the world.

First time geocaching in Australia 🇦🇺
Our very first find was at the Welcome to SYD sign at the airport on Christmas morning (Dec 25, 8am!). Later that day in Canberra, we found the oldest cache in the ACT- while being watched by mobs of kangaroos 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
We’ve officially logged our 7th continent, and now we’re caching our way through Australia with so many EarthCaches along the way 🌏
