With a little help from our friends over at Pipestone Timber Company, we made a very special gift come to life this Christmas! 🥰

pipestone timber company not only had thee perfect solid piece of Walnut for this sign to keep it all one piece, they were also gracious enough to run this for us on their much larger CNC!

A friend of ours reached out many months ago with a vision of recreating the special sign pictured ( blue metal w/lantern) for her dad for Christmas. She shared what she wanted to do and placed her trust in us to create something beautiful!

Procreate was a great tool in this project. We were able to take the image and using an Apple Pencil traced the artwork. We opted to finish it out in procreate, so the file could be used for other projects in the future if desired.

We were tickled to hear that the gift was a huge hit! 😍

Happy December 1st everyone!

We know we haven’t been posting much 😅

To be truthful, we’ve been quite busy here! We’ve had some change occur and a new rhythm to learn, but we are still here, still crafting ☺️

A few photos of some projects over the last little while.

We did our first personalized ring toss game! Scroll through the photos to see the finished project complete with maple shot glass.

The customer took a chance ordering with us for a wedding table game off Etsy, hoping it would arrive in time. Thanks to quick communication from our customer, we were able to arrange delivery to ensure that happened!

Personalized live edge Charcuterie boards have been a hit! They are so unique as each piece is different. It’s always a joy to help create a special one a kind gift ☺️

We often get ideas from our customers. Our epoxy feet are thanks to a special request. They’ve been a hit since!

Also pictures is a preview photo of the engraving. We send this out (or a variation, as Ivan and I use different programs) as a proof for approval for our customers.

It has been a whirlwind around here!
Getting back into the swing of things as we settle into the school routine.

We had the honour of being asked to create a special wedding gift. She had a vision of a 12 x 24 charcuterie board with custom engraving (that included eucalyptus) to sit as a centre piece on a kitchen island.

We worked together to get the engraving just right. Giving a couple option proofs for her to choose from.

We think it turned out absolutely lovely!

We then headed on over to our friends at Pipestone Timber Company & scouted the big beautiful piece pictured in the back of our pick up.

There were some spots that required epoxy filling which we pigmented with a metallic espresso before pouring. This is a process we are fairly new with, but are starting to look forward to using more!

Our customer also requested feet so the board wouldn’t sit flat on the island. We decided to pour our own from epoxy matching the epoxy used on the boards. The end result has a nub which we counterbored for, then epoxied into place for secure placement.

Our customer is absolutely over the moon with the end result, and so are we!! ☺️

Having a hand in creating special things like this means the world. Thank you for trusting us with your wonderful ideas the past 9 months!

We’ve been a little quiet on here, but thanks to you all, we have had steady work in the shop! We are so grateful! ☺️

As we model out and put together some quote requests today, we are also continuing to work on building some product stock to take to market soon!

Having a blast in the wood shop this weekend! Nice to hear the machinery whirring again after taking a couple of weeks off to take the family camping and catch up on other projects.

We had a lot of fun putting together these grill scrapers for the Warburg FCSS Father’s Day boxes!! What a privilege to have been asked to be a part of them, thank you!

We apparently enjoyed it so much we forgot to take a finished product photo! 🤦‍♀️

We finished these guys off with a 220 grit sand, some router detailing on the handle for a more comfortable hold, and finished it off with a leather strap hanger through the hole at the top! They turned out wonderful, it’s Shame we didn’t get a picture, but as long as they are enjoyed in their new homes, that’s what counts!
