Day 4: kayaking Shannon/Pine Lake, Narrow Hills Provincial Park

Back in July we kayaked this lake in NHPP. Thing with NHPP is you can't go wrong with any lake you get one.

Day 3: Campfire

Camped out at Lower Fishing Lake on Narrow Hills Provincial Park. Nothing beats a campfire. If you ever walk past my campsite on your evening stroll you will often see me sitting around a fire.

Day 2: Our Last Action Hero!
First week of July

This might be my favourite Pic of the year. Our little dude was just givin 'er up the stairs. We were hiked Gem Lakes back in July. Very different this year. 100% sad to see what the area looks like now but the area is still unbelievably beautiful. Definitely still worth the trip.

Day 1
Grace Lake post 2025 fire

We opened up our 2026 camping season in Narrow Hills Provincial Park. We were fortunate enough to camp this park in 2024 before the devasting forest fires of 2025. This is the park we visited a few days after learning of our first miscarriage and it's the oark that started to heal my soul after that loss. Because of that it was important for me to visit the park after the fires of 2025. We plan visit this area every couple years to witness the forests recovery.

A massive shout out to the cabin owners who stuck around and fought the Shoe Fire. Not a single cabin was lost to the fire. Another massive shout out to thr Little Bear team who also stayed back and fought the fire. They were also able to save their slice of paradise.
