It’s the yarn-lover’s event of the season: World Wide Knit in Public Day! Of course, we welcome all stitchers, regardless of craft, to come and enjoy some time with us. The sun is shining, the patio is ready and waiting! We’ve got all set up for their pop-up shop, and is brewing up the most delicious themed drinks for us. It’s shaping up to be a glorious day, and all we’re missing is you!

So pack up that project, come sit in the sun (or shade) with us and enjoy the community you helped build with us!

🧶 meet Toronto-based dyer and shop her collection of vibrant yarns
🍹 will be making some special drinks. Try a “Frog it!” or a “Stitcher’s Speed Boost” from the newest cafe on the block

Thanks to everyone that came out to our inaugural baseball game stitch social. We had a blast! If you think you’d like to join us next time, keep your eye out for a potential weekend game later in the summer.

But the big question is: How much of a sock can be knit in one train ride to Toronto, one baseball game, and one train ride home? Apparently it’s a cuff, calf, heel flap, turn, and gusset pick up. The yarn is “Lights Up, Let’s Go!!” collection for both the sock and Sam The Flying Squirrel’s baseball jersey in the colour Grand Slam (and the colour Snow for the stripes)

Milena’s first spin! She used a Polwarth braid, spun it up on a spindle, and then knit that into a Musselburgh hat. Milena says the hat tells the story of her progression as a spinner - the bottom of the hat where her first few metres were spun is a little thicker and uneven, but towards the top of the hat you can see the yarn becomes more even as she gains more experience as a new spinner. We think it’s amazing! 👏🏼
