Jumbo Perch went out to try some new jigs designs found a new/old spot to fish, I have fished this spot through the years and have never caught jumbo perch like this, in fact I fished this spot many times since I have been a kid and barely ever caught anything odd pike a couple pickerel and a couple of tiny perch. this location is not known to produce big perch just tiny little 4 to 5inch perch this spot is not known to have good fishing at all. Well, I guess the right jig was all I needed only had a couple garden worms didn't feel like making the trip to town to buy bait was not planning on catching much maybe a couple tiny perch maybe a pickerel if I was really lucky but not jumbo perch. Well didn't take long before my couple of worms were gone I well be going back with minnows in couple days. From top of jig to bottom is 1.5inch length 3/8 jig for size comparison forgot my tape measure.

Fall Rainbow bead or no bead
I have been river fishing fall rainbow for 25 yrs with the same setup a couple split shot about 3 ft above the hook depending on the current, a nice small sharp hook, spawn sac with green or orange mesh and a couple of spawn sac floaters to keep it just above the bottom. Last couple trips we have been adding a colored float bead just above our hook and wow the increase in action is very noticeable in sheer numbers, we made 3 trips same river same holes same time of the day, first trip just plain spawn no bead we caught 2 trout and this has always been the case on this river for last 25yrs years I have been fishing this river 1 or 2 trout fishing trips once in a while on good trip maybe 4 trout. Next trip we put beads on 1 rod and my wife's rod no bead just spawn, well the rod with the bead out fished 5 to 1 rod with no bead. Third trip we used beads and spawn on both rods we caught fish after fish landed and released 9 trout same holes. Some of the Lake trout we caught while out testing some baits, one really hot bait in testing was our 6inch Nebula Flash Blue/Gold rattle bait this thing has caught fish after fish during testing this spring lake trout just hammered this bait over and over Our Nebula Galaxy spoons produced great results also. How we make our custom holographic lures

We start with a blank lure, the lure/crankbait/jerkbait is given a heavy coat of adhesive and allowed to harden, next step we hot press a holographic heat foil to the blank lure/crankbait with heat and pressure, the heat foil and adhesive are melted together creating a really strong bond that will not peel off or have color fade. Next, we apply a heavy coat of quality clear coat and then the lure or crankbait is painted after paint has cured, we apply a second thick layer of clear coat to seal the paint and add flatten split rings and sharp hooks.
