The 50th Annual Hythe Ag Fair is fast approaching with a few changes - the pancake breakfast will be back at the Legion and all other activities will be at the Hythe Community Centre - the parade line up and route will not change - there will be no family baseball Tourny due to lack of interest - the fairbook will be out in circulation this week so watch for them at local businesses

Hello! ☺️ l'd like to introduce myself to those who don't know me. My name is Ashlea (pronounced Ashley, not Ashley-uh, which I get a lot 😆). My love for yarn crafting started 24 years ago when my Grandma taught me to crochet, and that simple gift grew into a lifelong hobby. Last year, I discovered hand knitting, which is where you use your fingers instead of hooks or needles. I enjoy it a lot and I get really excited when I see each finished product. I put so much love and effort into each and every item I make. ♥️ While most of my work is now hand knit, I still use a few crochet techniques in some of my patterns, and the odd time I will make a completely crocheted item, like the pink and purple hedgehog and the blankets I made my sons for Christmas. Everything I make is either from patterns made by other creators, or patterns I made myself through trial and error. I usually add the name of the pattern creator at the bottom of my posts.
As a stay-at-home mom to two energetic boys, I fit my crafting into the little pockets of time throughout the day - during naps, after bedtime, or whenever they'll let me! 😆 I try to work on something every day, but sometimes that isn’t possible.
I started by making a few chunky blankets, and before long I was creating all kinds of handmade pieces. Now that I have an abundance of items, I will be at some markets in the next few months and will get to share my creations with even more people! 🤗

🔥🧡 Charizard #2! 🧡🔥

This one is a lot bigger than the mini Charizard I made a while back. A customer asked me to make one the same size as my green dragon, so I got to work creating this big fiery guy. 🐉 I put quite a bit of time into this one!

This is my own pattern, but I did use the dragon head shape from Cholewacreations.
