The Bread Gallery Artisinal Bakery and Art Gallery We serve fresh ground fair trade organic coffee from Java Blend as well as Lover's Leap steeped loose tea.

Making our home in a heritage building, we feature work by established and emerging Nova Scotian artists who work in various mediums and styles. Adjacent to the gallery is our scratch bakery offering a variety of freshly-baked products using local ingredients whenever possible. Our famous cinnamon buns are hot from the oven daily and we have a large selection of goodies, including: cookies, fudge

brownies, date bars, muffins, flaky tea biscuits, turnovers, carrot cake, gingerbread, loaf cakes, croissants, pies, strudel, and our own special "Brookies" a brownie sandwiched with vanilla bean cream cheese frosting. We are proud to offer a daily lunch special with homemade soups and sandwiches made on our very own white and multigrain bread. Part-Time Front-End Cashier & Customer Service Associate

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and motivated team member to join our staff in a part-time Front-End Cashier & Customer Service position.

Responsibilities include:

Providing excellent customer service

Operating the cash register and handling customer transactions

Assisting customers with orders and product inquiries

Sandwich and lunch preparation

Packaging baked goods and food products

Light cleaning and maintaining a tidy work area

Supporting daily front-end operations as needed

Qualifications:

Previous customer service or cashier experience is considered an asset

Strong communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

Reliable transportation is required

Food handling experience is an asset, but not required

Position Details:

Part-time

Weekday and weekend shifts required
