Sweet Sounds Studio - Guitar Lessons I offer guitar lessons to the Wetaskiwin area. Ever wanted to see if guitar is for you, or already play and want better chops? I bring 25 years experience!

My name is Will Whenham. I am a full time electrician in my fourth year of study, but my passion is music. I would love to share my love of music with our amazing community in Wetaskiwin. Please reach out to me if you want to learn more! I discovered my love of music at a young age. Growing up in a household of musicians, I took guitar lessons beginning at age 8 from my classical guitar instructor

(dad), Dave Whenham. I learned the basics of the Royal Conservatory of Music, obtaining grade 2 in musical theory before making the decision to move towards a rock guitar style. I graduated from Grant MacEwan University in 2006 with a Diploma in Music with a Major in Recording. Since 2002, I have been offering guitar lessons to all ages out of different venues. I teach several different styles of guitar and model programs around individual student needs. If you would like to learn guitar, or have played before and would like to hone your skills, I can help! In my spare time I play guitar/vocals in Wetaskiwin-based band, Red Canoe. We do a variety of cover/original songs and primarily play at Wetaskiwin venues. Come out to a show and see what I can do!

So good things have been brewing, and as a result I will be expanding my services west of town! I have been given the opportunity to use a room at the Falun School each Friday, and spots are filling up quick! Currently I am available during school hours, so students in Falun can take advantage of daytime lessons right in their school, without the hassle of coordinating and transporting outside of school hours. If you know someone who might benefit from this, please feel free to message me with any questions!

I haven't posted in a while, but now that summer is behind us and the school year is gearing up, it's time to get back to our routines! Guitar lessons are back on, and I have limited spots available on weekday evenings. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about the program and I'd be more than happy to accommodate a free trial lesson before you decide if it's the right fit for you or your child!

Hey, musically-minded folks! Come and check out the Wetaskiwin Arts and Music Festival TODAY at By Lake Park! This will be a fun day filled with music, arts, and creativity! The event runs all day starting at 10am and I'll be playing in Red Canoe at 8:15pm! Come have some fun with the whole family!
