THANKS JARED AND JW LANDSCAPING…

Thanks again Jared for letting us be part of a big project you have on the go.

Also on a side note, want to mention just how great you and your Team are to work with. Big heavy trees and everyone kicked in to help and EVERYONE simply was just in a good mood and made it fun.

Thanks to Our Coop partners for always being there as well to help with tree deliveries. Tanya is simply a pro at handling these B&B/Wire baskets. And with ALL the Coop staff at the Home Centre being so GOOD to us - just always so accommodating to us - so appreciated!!!

Oh and Happy Friday Peeps. Enjoy this windy and slowly getting warmer day.

YEP AGAIN —- NEW TREE DAY!!!

And some real beauties. So jacked.

And not ONE for Shanny. Yet.

But there is a Fat Albert Spruce that might end up in her yard if one still there in a few weeks.

Thanks again to ALL those who ordered. ALWAYS APPRECIATED!!!

Now to get em all in the ground. Happy Friday Eve Peeps!!!

WHA WHAT??? MORE TREES COMING IN???

You bet!!!

And a bunch of big boys available too. Yes it is a big hole to dig and pricey for sure ($390-$625) - but man the tree you get!!!

Attached are some pics of some of these BIG trees we have gotten in (and some for Shanny of course-lol).

Actually we have planted some of these B&B/Wire Basket as main show pieces here at the Farm.

In the front yard a triangle of a:
Bur Oak
Black Hawk Mountain Ash
and a Ohio Buckeye.

A row of 5 Manitoba Maples for the East side of the yard (too old to wait for the smaller guys to kick in and wanted a few good show pieces on that side - LOL).

And 1 big Black Hills Spruce to replace one that was in trouble in the front yard - wanted matchy-matchy result.

All are thriving.

ALSO - tons of other trees and shrubs in all sizes available too if anyone looking for some good fall planting to get done.

OH MY - CHECK OUT MY BURNING BUSH!!!

And it starting to show its colour off. Love red fall colours.

SHANNY has a burning bush at home but no such great colours yet. LOL. Stay tuned.

Lots of other good stuff still doing great at Our Prairie Sky Coop Greenhouse. And also….

WENT TO THE BURN PIT TODAY…

Which I did NOT get stuck - WHEW - but don’t think “burning” at the burn pit anytime soon. lol

Great sky. But man - water pooling in the fields.

Yikes.

But the forecast seems POSITIVE.

DO MIGHTY OAKS GROW 2-3 INCHES PER YEAR???

NOPE…

HOW ABOUT 2-3 FEET PER YEAR!!!

And this is not just me saying this - although the first 2 pics are just some of 7 Oak Trees in “Oak park” here at the farm. Gonna be 3 feet worth of growth by end of the season again this year.

Susan Minard sends me a text with pics saying her Oaks are growing like crazy as well and FULL of acorns. (Squirrels got all of my acorns already - lol)

And then Kandace Reich been telling me for years now that HER Oaks are growing between 2-3 feet per year as well.

Hence I HAD to get on this for the farm. 8 Oaks so far planted at the farm.

Oh and there is one left at the Coop too and she is a beauty. Details in last 3 pics.

TTTTTIIIIIIMMMMMMBBBBBBBBRRRRRR!!!

The big poplar in the back yard is GONE….

Can’t thank TRZ Tree Care & Landscaping from North Weyburn for 100% 💯 nailing this job for us.

This tree was in some big trouble and I was scared some of it might fall on the house one day. So down it came.

I told Carey that if he could get this big boy down and NOT HIT ANY OF MY TREES in the backyard - I would give him $50 per tree missed. $250.00 bonus it is…. All 5 trees with not even a leaf disturbed. SO JACKED.

The big stump left over has a plan already - DJ is going to build a bar table with it - can’t wait to see that done.

One problem with the big tree gone though. Oh man did we lose some shade back here. Yikes. But I think I have a plan. Stay tuned.

Oh and HAPPY FRIDAY PEEPS!!! Nice to see sun shinning again.
