Our mom is the reason we are who we are today—and the reason First Love exists.

Growing up, I always hoped to become even half the woman she is. She carried her struggles with grace, never letting them show, while giving us the childhood we dreamed of. She worked tirelessly, but always showed up when it mattered—teaching us that it’s possible to chase your dreams while still showing up with love.

She taught us to never shrink ourselves, to prioritize our well-being first, and to find beauty in the everyday. First Love was built on that foundation. Every time we use The Everything Oil, we’re reminded of her, of the way she gently placed jasmine in our hair, making even the simplest moments feel like love.

Yesterday I finally got to sit down and face the realities of the tariffs and let me tell you… it’s scary.

Our costs have skyrocketed, shipping is taking 2x longer and the rates have gone up, but we’re still here.

With that being said…is the end of First Love near? Or is this just the beginning? 🌱

We’ve come a long way — from the scrunchie days to perfecting The Everything Oil. Through highs, lows, and all the grit in between, it’s been a journey we’re so proud of. And we’re not stopping now.

spotted out in the streets of Chennai — our Everything Oil is made for it all ✨

how we used it on this day:
✨ using it to get rid of the frizz from the heat (bonus it got our hair to smell like jasmine)
✨ pre-photoshoot — as a moisturizer for our backs to add shine
✨ asked local shop owners what they thought of the product — they approved!!
✨ put some extra oil on the tip of our hair, at the end of the day, due to the dryness from the heat
