In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Stylist does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Kim's Review: Ahhh this is the softest sweater I've ever felt! I'm still wearing it as I'm writing this review because I seriously do not want to take it off!!! I didn't think I'd like the looser sleeves but I totally love this style and the fitted cuffs and hemline are my fav. It allows the loose fit to still give you some shape! I'm in a small here and will be buying this one. These scarves will always be my fav too, I love these new prints!

Kristina's Review of the Denim: I am wearing the Curvy Captivating Denim in a size 16 and I find these TTS. These jeans are so comfy and have good stretch to them. I love having jeans that fit my in all the right places yet allow a lot of movement! Love!

Amanda's Review: This poncho makes me feel like I'm wrapped up in a cozy blanket and it's also super stylish. It has a good weight to it and the fabric is soft and cozy. This comes in one size but because it is not tacked under the arms, I feel it would fit quite a large range of body types! As for the boots, these are a great combination of both style and comfort. I love the lacing up the back of the boot and they are super comfy. I am wearing the sample 8 and it is slightly tight so I will go with my normal 8.5. I'd say these are TTS.

Kim's Review: Yes, yes, yes to everything about this outfit! I feel so fabulous in it! The kimono is flowy and gorgeous and I love that it has actual sleeves. It's made in Canada, which is something I love about it as well! It's a great piece for so many seasons, I know I'll get a lot of wear out of it! Now for these boots... they are absolutely amazing! I love the taller style. They're extremely comfortable and kind of padded all up the legs making them incredibly warm! I'm in the size 8, my normal size, and found them to be a tad snug so if you're in between sizes, definitely size up. I'm going to size up half and go with an 8.5 for myself. I've paired my look today with a lace ambition tank (S), my fav jeans, Take Me Out Denim (5) and the New Beginnings Wrap Bracelet. I love the look of it with the kimono!! (It's still on the website too!)

Kristina's Review: First of all, who doesn’t love jeans that you can slide on and you can move around in? The Pride & Joy Denim is so easy to put on and passed the “squat test” with flying colors! The On Your Game Top is so comfy and soft I feel like I can work all day in this and go out on the town afterwards. I am wearing a size 14 in the Pride & Joy Denim and a 1X in the On Your Game Top. I've paired my look with the Fortunate Soles Flats in a size 10!

Carolina's Review: Can you tell that we love our Spring Ahead Tops? The Navy with Bird Print reminds me of the version we had in Spring and I think I have worn that one to pieces! Time to add to my collection and these three prints are perfect. I normally wear a Small which is what I am wearing here and it fits me TTS. It is a lightweight knit feel and it is great for layering. Slightly longer in the back if you want to wear with leggings and want some bum coverage. Yay!

Sharing my FAVORITE piece out of the entire silver icing collection. Thé TUMMY CONTROL leggings. I love them so much. I have the jeggings. 2 pairs of black & 1 gray. When I wear them they take me down Atleast 2 sizes. The hi waist thick material amazing quality. I have had mine did 3 years. Still going strong. I wear mine all the time. Kim's Review: I absolutely adore this top! It's so elegant and pretty but so beyond comfy at the same time! It's a nice thickness with tons of stretch and I love the ribbing detail in the fabric! I've tried on tops with bell sleeves before and didn't care for them too much but these ones make me a total fan. They're the perfect amount of bell with out being too over the top if you know what I mean! I'm in a size small and would get this size! Now for the flats! They're so comfy with a cushioned insole and they're also made for wide feet making them extra comfortable! I'm normally a size 8 and am wearing the size 7.5 here and have a bit of room. I would size down one size and buy the 7. Amanda is typically an 8.5 in shoes and she fits the 7.5 perfectly! Don't get too confused, simply size down one full size for your perfect fit. Everything about these shoes is amazing!! I love the pop of colour and pattern they give to an outfit!
