In February we sold our building and left Wiarton. We have not officially closed our business but we’ve taken some time off to assess whether we want to continue as a retail operation elsewhere or perhaps remain online only. Please continue to follow us on Facebook as we work through the coming months. We will definitely keep you posted!

Countdown is on!!! Only 9 Shopping days left until Christmas.
We are open everyday (10-5) from now until Christmas Eve.
Sunday December 19th we are open from 1pm - 4pm

As most of you know, we are Closing our retail store permanently on Christmas Eve. We are moving on to our next chapter and watch for us online later on in 2022.
Heather and I want to Thank You for your patronage and even though we are sad about the whole situation, it will be for the best!

Christmas is just a little over two weeks away and as we have always done in the past few years; we close the store for the quiet winter months but this year will be different as we are permanently closing our store in Wiarton on Christmas Eve. We do plan on being open online but it will not be until later in 2022.
It is with heavy hearts we are closing the store after 14 years in downtown Wiarton. Not only has it been our place of business but we have also lived in the building for over a decade. Unfortunately, with the never ending Berford Street Reconstruction we felt it was wiser to the sell the building than to attempt to limp through another year of possible construction. (Yeah, construction really isn’t done yet).

We would like to thank all of the customers over the years that have supported us. So many of you came into Northern Confections as customers but left as friends. We will miss you all very much.
We are taking the winter months to plan our next chapter and hope that all of you will be part of our story.

We are open until 8pm tonight for the Wiarton Annual Santa Claus Parade. Gerrie Goldie will be here performing Christmas songs. Enjoy the music while you shop for the perfect Christmas gifts! Seating is very limited and you will be required to provide proof of immunization should you decide to sit.

The elves have been busy in our kitchen helping Todd make lots of Christmas candy including cinnamon and peppermint fruit jellies, hot chocolate bombs. Christmas barks and of course our fudge!

We stand with Chapman's Ice Cream

Chapman's has supported local communities for years, they employee a lot of people in Grey/ Bruce and beyond. Their commitment and support to the community is only reinforced with their vaccine policy.
We have always used Chapman's Ice Cream in our store and Ice Cream Bike. We need more businesses and individuals to stand together.. Our business was also threatened with being burned down along with threats of protesters coming with baseball bats. simply because we are enforcing the proof of vaccine policy in Ontario.
We all need to support each other during these unprecedented times. BUY CHAPMAN"S ICE CREAM!
