✨ GOOD MEDICINE & SMUDGE OFF RELAUNCH! ✨

I’m excited to bring back some of my previous sweater and T-shirt designs, Good Medicine and Smudge Off, as part of my first launch! ❤️

These designs mean more to me than just clothing. They represent culture, healing, health, and happiness.

Life has been rough lately, and through some of my hardest moments, I’ve always found myself turning back to my culture and our good medicine for strength, comfort, and healing. Without our good medicine, some of life’s battles would be so much harder to face.

I wanted these designs to carry that message and remind us of the strength and healing we find in our traditions. 🌿❤️

As I start my day, I want to acknowledge all Residential School Survivors and those who never made it home.

I was raised by my gramma, a Residential School Survivor. Growing up surrounded by Survivors and hearing about what they endured at St. Joseph’s Mission gave me a deep appreciation for their strength and for the love they brought home and gave to us despite everything they survived.

Today, I honour their strength, resilience, love, and the sacrifices they made for the generations that came after them. 🧡

I also want to send strength and love to Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. My whole family was in Kamloops for the powwow when the white supremacists arrived. Today, I stand with Tk’emlúps and send strength to the entire community. I hope those responsible are held accountable and face real consequences for their actions.

Our people have endured enough. Indigenous people deserve to acknowledge our lost ones from residential school , and exist without being targeted by hatred and racism. These actions need to be taken seriously, addressed immediately, and met with real accountability.

Today, I stand with Survivors. I stand with Tk’emlúps. I stand with our people. 🧡

Every Child Matters. 🧡

There shouldn’t have been one 🧡

People keep arguing about numbers.

How many children?
How many graves?
How many have been confirmed?

ONE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH!

This didn’t happen only in Tk’emlups. This happened across turtle island and is STILL happening to this day in other forms such as birth alerts, mmiwg2S, star light tours, prejudice in healthcare, racism, discrimination, and violence in the real world…

Take a read of my comments on my page.
Watch these ppl hide behind their fake accounts.
Look how comfortable they are with their racist hateful rhetoric.
Look at how politicians rage bait and use our struggles to build their platforms. It’s disgusting.

We are REAL PEOPLE… Survivors who have told their stories for generations and inter-generational survivors just trying to do better for the future generations to come.

Why are we normalizing digging up our bodies to make the colonizer comfortable? Do you know how fkd up that sounds? Like actually sit with that and think about it… what if it was your relative? Your sister? Your child?

And that is what gets lost when people become obsessed with capitalist greed and debating numbers.

We are somebody’s children.
Somebody’s mothers.
Somebody’s sisters.
Somebody’s auntie or uncle.
Somebody’s relatives.

🚨 Hold your friends and family accountable!🚨

Our humanity shouldn’t suddenly matter only once the number becomes large enough to make you finally care.

There shouldn’t have even been one. And as an indigenous mother… I am crushed. I am scared for the world I will eventually leave my daughter in. That’s the truth that needs to be shared.
