The cleanup crew has arrived. 🐌🌿
Nerite + Mystery snails are in store now at Exotic Aquatics! These little algae grazers are a great addition to many freshwater aquariums, helping with algae while bringing some pretty incredible striped shells to the tank.
Thinking about adding a few to your aquarium? Stop in and chat with Kris about your current setup and whether snails are a good fit.

Some of the best learning starts with:
“Wait... why does it do that?”
For homeschool families, animals can open the door to science, research, observation, habitats, biology, responsibility and plenty of questions nobody planned to cover that day.
And that's exactly the point.
Homeschool Discovery at Exotic Aquatics is about giving curious learners opportunities to experience animal education in a more hands-on way.
Observe.
Ask questions.
Research.
Learn how animals are cared for.
And discover where one really good question can lead.
Because learning doesn't always have to start with a worksheet.

One animal can create a surprising number of learning opportunities.
A classroom animal can lead to conversations about habitats and environments.
Students can observe behaviour and changes over time.
They can research the species.
They can learn about food, life cycles and adaptations.
And they can experience what consistency and responsible animal care actually look like.
That's why Classroom Critters isn't simply about putting a pet in a classroom.
It's about giving students something living to observe, care about, ask questions about and learn from.
Bring learning to life with Exotic Aquatics.

Being a good animal keeper is about a lot more than feeding an animal and cleaning its home.
Why does this species need this particular habitat?
What should it eat?
How can you tell if its environment is working?
What does its behaviour tell you?
How do you interact with it safely?
These are exactly the kinds of questions we'll explore through Kids Wildlife Keepers Club.
Across the program, young keepers will explore reptiles, fish, invertebrates and habitats, combining in-class learning with hands-on experiences and projects they can continue at home.
The goal is to help kids move from:
“I love animals!”
to:
“I understand what animals need from the people responsible for them.”
That's what being a keeper is really about.

Calling the kids who know every animal fact.
The ones who aren't afraid to ask questions.
The ones who would happily spend an afternoon learning about reptiles, fish and everything that lives in between.
Kids Wildlife Keepers Club is coming to Exotic Aquatics.
This isn't simply an opportunity to come look at cool animals.
Young keepers will learn what responsible animal care actually involves through hands-on education, projects and experiences with the animals at Exotic Aquatics.
Because loving animals is a great place to start.
Learning how to care for them is the next step.
Wildlife Keepers Club is for children ages 6+, with a parent or guardian present for all classes.
Spaces will be limited.
Enrollment closes September 12. Contact Exotic Aquatics for registration information.
