These Silver Teardrop Antler Earrings remind me a lot of a portion of Big Creek we came upon last year while looking for cows!

This creek is kind of funny because the closer it flows to the community of "Big Creek" the river isn't as blue as it is here. Big Creek flows out of a Turquoise colored alpine lake called Lorna Lake, which I hope to visit one day! It's only accessible by float plane or horseback!

It's Mini Series Monday - Fossils Edition!

All of the fossils I've found are from Alberta, though there was no way I was taking this one home!

This massive boulder was full of fossilized oyster(?) & maybe clam shells I believe! It was so darn cool!!

Most of Alberta was under water millions of years ago which was known as the "Western Interior Seaway"!

I am beyond excited to share with you all, my 5th time being featured in a magazine!!

This article is beautiful written by Brooke Hanson for the July/August edition of Beef in BC - British Columbia Cattlemen's Association Magazine. They feature western artists across British Columbia!

Never would I have ever imagined my little business would bring me here, let alone be featured in several magazines across Canada! Definitely brings a big smile to my face 💜

On another really cool note, this magazine edition also features friends of ours, Chilco Ranch - Miller Ranches Ltd because they won the BC Ranch Sustainability Award this year!! So well deserving and such an amazing family!!

It's Mini Series Monday - Gemstones/Crystals Edition!

My little family and I were hiking a mountain back in Alberta back in September of 2022!

We were scaling up and across this really rocky portion and my youngest daughter pulled up what looked like a gemstone!! I was told from a rock hounding group is that what we found was Root Beer Calcite but what ChatGPT tells me is that it's Banded Calcite!

Either way, we packed a few specimens back down the mountain with us!

Would you believe me if I told you I had a Weasel living in my house?

No dang joke!! I'm not pulling your leg either! I'm sure this is the same little fella that's under the deck in these videos, as the one that was inside my house!

Winter of 2023, I was leaning against my kitchen island, in front of the fireplace. I was looking out the kitchen window and noticed some of the pink insulation moving from behind the wall cabinets.

Due to the walls in my house being round, log walls, my cabinets aren't flush with the wall. So as I'm watching this insulation move, I thought it was going to be another mouse.

All of a sudden, this little white head pops out and I realize it was a Weasel!! He scared the s**t out of me and vise versa lol he got the heck out of dodge!! lol

So, how did he get there in the first place?! There's a place under the bathtub where the mice and apparently Weasels, can get into the house. There's more gaps between the round logs and the wall around the bathtub and they can get into the kitchen from the bathroom by scaling the log walls!

You could hear him in the walls, a lot noisier than a mouse lol

My husband seen him another time where he was a lot more adventurous running under the couches and he even sat on a dining room chair lol

One thing for sure is we had no mice in the house for about 6 months!
