Something we’ve come to love about the store that ended up being a happy consequence, was how close knit our customer community is.

Pokémon cards are expensive. This, I’m sure, comes as a shock to no one. At $5-8 per pack, they add up quickly.

So we reached out to one of our community members and asked them hey, if we buy thousands of cards from you - and offer over standard wholesale - would you mind if we repackaged them in 10s and sold them to kids for $1?

They were happy with the deal because it means no hassles with shipping, and we were happy with the deal because we can support our customers AND provide an inexpensive alternative for our young customers that just want some cool cards.

So from now on, we will have packs of 10 Pokémon cards available for $1 each :)

Guys, last night was insanity. We never expected such a turnout and of all ages! I wish I grabbed photos of the other half of the Nerd Room but I spent the evening rushing around so much it wasn’t doable. You guys kept us BUSY!

Normally we’d love to be open for a gaming event on Monday, but we are just exhausted and have a lot of catching up to do.

We will be closed this family day, but we’re working on the gaming schedule and will likely have it posted by Tuesday!

Weekend part time position

We’ve been accepted into the WPN and are in need of a reliable staff member to run events and the store. Hours would be Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoon. Must be available all three shifts.

We will be hosting sanctioned MTG tournaments, D&D, Pokemon and board game nights.

Must be passionate about MTG and games in general, and an outgoing people person. You would not just be there to oversee games, but to ring through purchases, do post-game cleanup and store closing procedures.

Please bring a resume with references to Joan or Jazmyn at the Realm of Toys & The Nerd Room, on 190A Oliver Street.

2 amazing things happened today!
1) WE DID IT!!!
We are officially a part of the Wizard Play Network and will be hosting sanctioned events, have access to promotional material and pre-release items!!
Thank you SO MUCH to everyone that has helped us get to this point!
2) Remember the trademark we forgot we applied for 2 years ago? Half an hour after we found out we'd been accepted into the WPN, we received a letter from the government letting us know that the Realm of Toys & The Nerd Room TM is officially trademarked!
It has been a crazy day!
