D&D has always been a place where you could walk in looking for one thing and discover something completely unexpected.
We do not want to lose that.
But we are beginning to look at the store a little differently.
We are becoming more intentional about what we bring in, how things fit together, and what we want it to feel like when someone walks through the door. There will be more meaningful pieces, more imagination, more beautiful and unusual things for your home, and more of those discoveries that make you stop because something simply speaks to you.
There is still plenty of D&D in what comes next. We are simply beginning to understand more clearly what we want this place to become.
More meaning. More imagination. More things worth discovering.
And this is only the beginning.

Not everything we bring into our lives needs to have an obvious practical purpose.
Sometimes a journal gives us somewhere to put the thoughts we have been carrying.
A piece of jewellery becomes a reminder.
A book gives us a different way of seeing something.
A candle changes the feeling of a room.
An object simply makes us happy every time we see it.
There is value in surrounding ourselves with things that help us slow down, reflect, imagine, or reconnect with parts of ourselves that get buried underneath everyday life.
As D&D evolves, this idea is becoming increasingly important to us.
Sometimes what you find is simply a way back to yourself.

Growing up does not mean everything has to become practical.
There can still be room for imagination, stories, beautiful objects, strange little treasures, dragons, fairies, celestial things and pieces that make the ordinary feel slightly less ordinary.
The things we loved when we were younger often tell us something about who we are. Maybe we do not need to outgrow all of them.
Maybe adulthood could use a little more imagination.
Keep a little magic.
There is plenty waiting to be discovered at D&D.

🧡 Orange Shirt Day is September 30.

We carry these beautiful hand-beaded Orange Shirt pins from Tribal Roots year-round at D&D.

Tribal Roots is a Canadian company that works with Mayan women artisans in Guatemala to create its hand-beaded pieces. These Orange Shirt pins are also an official Orange Shirt Society product, with a portion of proceeds supporting awareness activities.

The pins are $19.99 each, and we currently have more available in store.

D&D will be closed on September 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, so if you would like a pin to wear for Orange Shirt Day, please stop in before then.

The best gifts are rarely about finding the most expensive thing in the room. They are about knowing someone well enough to recognize something that feels like them.
The book they would disappear into.
The piece of jewellery that immediately made you think of them.
The strange little object they will absolutely love.
The journal for the person who always has something on their mind.
The gift that says, “I saw this and thought of you.”
D&D is becoming a place to slow down, look around, and find those meaningful, unusual things that are a little harder to find everywhere else.

A home does not need to look like everyone else's to be beautiful.
The things we surround ourselves with can tell stories, spark memories, reflect our interests, make us smile, or simply make a space feel more like our own.
Maybe that means something botanical or celestial. Maybe it is whimsical, unusual, a little fantastical, or something nobody else would have chosen.
There is no single formula for creating a home that feels good to live in.
Choose the things that feel like you.
Come explore D&D and find something a little unexpected.

Sometimes you find something and there is no long explanation for why you like it. A colour catches your eye, an object reminds you of something, or you simply feel drawn to it.
Those are often the things that become the most personal.
As D&D continues to evolve, we want to make more room for those kinds of finds: pieces chosen not simply because they serve a purpose, but because they mean something to the person who takes them home.
Come in, wander around, and see what catches your attention.

We believe the things we're drawn to can tell us something about ourselves.
The stories that make us lose track of time.
The colours we're always drawn toward.
The places that make us feel peaceful.
The hobbies we forgot we loved.
The objects that remind us of another version of ourselves.
Sometimes finding your way back to yourself isn't one big moment, it's picking up a book., lighting a candle, starting to create again, bringing something beautiful into your home, or allowing yourself to be curious about something simply because it makes you happy.
Maybe that's what discovery is really about.
Finding little pieces of yourself along the way.
