mini shop update 🌞🌸 + working on a astrological leo season correpondence blog post (all the metaphysical things associated with this season).

week ahead:
🌝full moon in Aquarius on Wednesday July 29th. would be cool to do an intentional tarot spread and candle lighting with said correpondences.
🌾 lammas celebration of abundance by honouring the sun and grain gods on Sat Aug 1st + Pop Up at the Downtown Windsor FarmersMarket 9am - 2pm.

not going to write a big sappy post but i'll keep it short and sweet.

I just want to thank everyone so much for their support and encouragement these past few months since I started doing pop up markets again. I really missed the local small business community and you all have helped me enjoy creating pieces and finding my self expression again. I actually look forward to packing up my car and setting up every weekend.

it's been a rollercoaster of emotions fighting the imposter syndrome, finding my spark after working consistently the past few years in my field of study, and just showing up in public after losing both of my cats suddenly and within weeks of each other, after being with me for 17 years. they were a huge part of my identity and super involved in the creative process as you can see 🥰

thank you so so much for all the love! I'm writing this as I sit down to create new pieces as I move through this next chapter without them but they're still very much involved in empowered moon💜

on a final note, I'm awaiting supplies to create new spell kits, planning some halloween items (a new roller? 🎃) and will hopefully be popping up this upcoming Saturday at the downtown windsor farmers market as the alternate pop up date from last weekends cancellation (but will post if it's confirmed).

As a Cancer Rising at the anaretic degree (29 degrees, the degree of fate) I see why I have always resonated with the moon, hence being super into astrology, working with the moon phases, and building a business around the concept. 🌝

Fluxing and flowing with the phases and deeply connecting to the element of water (you know that Marine Bio degree sitting in a frame in my office)... I feel like this season is always a "birth" of my outwardly presenting self. The version of me you connect with at markets that has to come out of her shell. 🦀

🌞During the sun's transit through Cancer, I recommend tapping into your inner world by feeling your feels. This zodiac sign is stereotyped for being overly emotional and dynamic but that's because it's ruled by the ever changing phases of the moon. But I strongly believe that our sensitivities and deeply emphathic nature is our superpower.. the ocean tides are ruled by the moon and there's so much power and strength in this element!!

I suggest working with essential oils for strengthening the third eye chakra and any oils that are associated with intuition, spiritual protection, and mental clarity. Some essential oils include Clary Sage, Lavender, Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Sandalwood.

The Goddess Aromatherapy blend menu and prices for market season.

The heart and soul of my brand are these goddess inspired ritual intention oils that integrate my interests in crystals, botanicals, essential oils, mythology, and feminine empowerment.

When I first started blending oils and crystals, I only had 7 blends, one correlating with each of the chakras. I would use these on myself and on reiki clients to balance and align chakras but as my interests grew and creativity flowed I rebranded them at the beginning of this year. I wanted to include more goddesses and new scents outside of the chakra system.

The ritual intention oils can be used as an alternative form of perfume, a meditation oil, and/or in your spell work. Whatever you wish. You can anoint yourself on your pulse points or roll them onto a candle if you're performing candle magic.

I always love explaining the meanings behind the inspiration of these rollers and emphasize that the oils and stones are synergistic energetically... a fancy way of saying that if it's a blend of grounding oils, they are paired with a grounding stone (Lilith, Artemis), or energizing blend paired with an energizing crystal (Sekhmet). I try to recommend the blends that most align with the intention they're wanting to call in when speaking with you in person but all the info is in detail which each product on the site AND you receive a blend info card with your purchase.

Testers are available to smell in person at markets and id you want to roll them all over yourself I won't judge you😂

June is flying by! So many goals been accomplished this month and we're only halfway through it. I guess that's Gemini season for ya, forward momentum and lots of mentally stimulating ideas. I'm so ready for the next phase of my small business.

As it turns out, the new moon in Gemini in 2021 was the first time I planted the seeds of what my business is blooming into today (I found an old journal and looked up the transit chart😁) The new moon in Gemini yesterday was a time for reflection surrounding my starting point and lots of writing of about the twists and turns of the path I'm walking today.

I'm sharing this with you for two reasons:
The first is that I'm proud to announce that I am a Reiki Master and working on my certification with the Canadian Reiki Association. This means that I will (soon) be offering reiki treatments alongside my healing products within Empowered Moon.

The second is that since I'm moving into a more personal line of work, sharing energy and clients trusting me as a practitioner is important to me, I want to connect with you more authentically. I feel that I should share with you who I am, what I care about, and what has shaped my interest in reiki healing as well as creating EMD.

I briefly rewrote the "About Me" for Empowered Moon to incorporate my healing journey and what led me to become a Reiki Master. You can read more in the link in my bio. It's the "Welcome Moonchild" blog post on my website.

I'm also creating a beautiful brochure to keep at my market booth for upcoming shows with these pieces of info and a blog post explaining what reiki is especially for those who aren't savvy of it's healing power.
