A small stack of bestsellers from the Taste of Walkerville weekend. Of course, TAIPEI STORY by R.F Kuang was in first, followed by two Biblioasis titles: THE GIVEN WORLD by Melissa Harrison and HEAVEN AND HELL by Jón Kalman Stefánsson.

The VisitWalkerville annual 'Taste of Walkerville' street wide event is tomorrow, and it got our booksellers thinking... what *does* Walkerville taste like? We asked our neighbours Anchor Coffee House and Steve Green Foods and they pointed us towards a stack of excellent cookbooks that inspire their trustworthy culinary tastes.

FYI: We've got a launch coming up!

Mark your calendars, because author's Richard Kelly Kemick and Ian Brown will be dropping by Biblioasis Bookshop on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28 at 7pm to have a chat about their new books: DECADENCE (published by our very own ), an accidental memoir of sorts, and SEVENTY, all about getting old. It's free to attend and we'll have books for sale to be signed by both authors!

A few years ago, author Jordan Tannahill published a book called THE LISTENERS that was loosely based on the Windsor hum and was longlisted for the 2021 Giller Prize. He's back with a new novel, THE LIVING REALM, about a British archaeologist in Berlin who's summer at the beach is haunted by ghosts of his past lovers. It's the title we're most excited about this alongside Michelle Porter's A GLACIER'S GUIDE TO DYING, which is about a young Métis man having a metaphysical chat with a melting glacier about legacy, family and mental health.

We'd be silly not to mention that there's also new titles from R.F. Kuang, Emma Cline, Rachel Gillig and others, so drop in and check out our new release display!
