The brief for this one had one unusual requirement: round ceiling recess with cove lighting.

We don't always know what form something will take until we understand the problem it needs to solve. This one took several rounds of conversation before we started making.

The result is FLORA, at the Spa at Fairmont Grand Del Mar, San Diego, CA.

In the morning the alabaster glass catches the east light differently than it does at dusk. The client mentioned it in their note after installation, that they keep noticing it at different times.

That's the part that's hard to photograph.
